HUB787 (H787) is the most advanced Cable Landing Station and Data Center in the Caribbean. H787 was designed from the ground up to be a resilient and robust special purpose facility to host submarine cable systems and high-performance computing equipment. H787 is the only building in Puerto Rico, designed according to ANSI/TIA 942 - Tier 3 specifications to achieve a 99.982 availability. H787 resiliency was tested during 2017 hurricanes Irma & Maria when the building ran 42 continuous days on generators before the utility restored the electric grid service. H787 relies on a team of expert engineers whose only mission is to maintain the building and services running seven days by twenty-four (7 x 24). H787 provides an efficient and secure IT environment that enables companies to design state of the art applications that leverage H787 interconnection architecture. Flexible interconnection options help IT developers meet IT application performance and budget requirements. Direct connectivity to Telecommunications providers reduces latency and enhances IT application performance. H787 is the first High-performance EDGE computing facility created in Puerto Rico and the Caribbean region. The extensive fiber optic connectivity (local and International) of the H787 is capable of providing ultra-low latency (1 ms) within Puerto Rico and very low latency in the region.

Internet of Things

HUB Advanced Networks IoT Platform consists of wireless technology that use standard protocols like: LoRaWan, BLE, SigFox, or ZigBee, to collect and transmit data reliably and securely. This data is transmitted to a device connected to the Internet called Gateway, designed to process millions of transmissions per day, and then transmitted to the cloud, its final destination; where it is processed and presented to the end-user through a dashboard. Options include wireless temperature sensor solutions, temperature, and humidity sensor solutions, and vibration sensor solutions utilizing cloud-based monitoring. We work with INOs an important company that provides alternate networking connectivity solutions in a wholesale model to companies with a presence on the east coast of the United States and into the Caribbean, Central America and South America. INOs offers solutions that include data centers in Puerto Rico, access to over 10 Sub-Sea Systems, and a strong presence in the US connecting Tier-1 carriers and, participating international providers in a carrier-neutral marketplace.

IP Transit

Today’s business transactions rely on Internet access to support business functions like email, web browsing and access to mission critical applications. HUB Advanced Networks provides the digital local and international backhaul systems to access high performance, tiered connections, to support all said digital IP services. We have designed a unique exchange of routing and reachable connections among autonomous IP systems.

Ethernet Transport Services

HUB Advanced Networks operates an MPLS Network through multiple fiber optic rings that cover the mayor POPs in Puerto Rico, and extends through our international backbone of submarine cable systems, and up to the east coast of the United States as a low latency high performance transport network. As a carrier grade network, the core is designed to have a mesh topology with more than 3 dedicated connections to each core site; thus providing the most robust architecture available. Customers can enjoy scalable and reliable transport connections; and with the support of transparent MPLS service customers can grow with full control of their data transport requirements.

We provide telecommunications infrastructure services tailored to costumer needs. Among the telecommunications infrastructure services we offer, are the following: Wireless Telecommunications Services, Fiber Optics, IRU, Small Cells, and others.

Small Cells

We provide infrastructure services for Small Cells. We design and build fiber optic facilities. We have installation, maintenance and Remove & Replace services for Small Cells radios and antennas. We provide joint pole use service and electrical facilities with power guard for each Small Cells node. Our services include permits and Project Management.

Project Management

Project management is the methodology for proposing a Project throughout different phases, ranging from its inception to its end. A project compromises a specific cluster of operations designed to achieve a goal with a set scope, resources, start and end. A project manager is responsible for fulfilling the five phases of the project that are as follows:

I. At the beginning of the projects the scope is defined, the work team is selected, an estimated costs analysis and risk analysis are performed, milestones are defined, and contact information is collected from the personnel involved in the project. In short, the Project Charter is developed.

II. In the planning part, a meeting with the personnel required in the project is held in order to define the following:

Responsibility Matrix
Communication Plan
Estimated Budget

III. In the execution part of the project, previously planned activities are started to ensure greater control over the progress and times determined. At this stage, the following activities are handled: risks, document changes, events, expenses, resources, time, and the updates & modifications.

IV. The monitoring and control part goes hand in hand with the execution phase. At this stage, the execution of the project is monitored so that if a change of plans is necessary, it can be done in the best time indicated and minimizing risks.

V. A final review is made at the closing of the project to ensure that the objective of the project was met and that all contractual requirements were met. This phase involves activities such as: closing documents, meetings with the end costumer, trainings that give way to the service management phase.

Project management is important because it ensures that what is being delivered is well done and will provide real value versus business opportunities. Excellent project management means compliance with deadlines, budget, and scope; It unites customers and teams, creates a vision for success, and puts everyone on the same page as what it takes to stay on the path to success. When projects are managed correctly, there is a positive impact that will be transmitted beyond the delivery of "things". Good project management ensures that project objectives align closely with the strategic objectives of the business. As projects progress, risks may arise, become problems, or even change the trading strategy. But a project manager will make sure the project is part of that alignment. The importance of project management is demonstrated in cases where projects deviate from the course or don’t adapt to the needs of the business, becoming costly or unnecessary.

Customer Service Center (CSC)

The CSC attends Customer network related events; as well as provides our technical staff with diagnostics and monitoring support; the CSC operates 7x24x365. Our priority is to provide fast and precise information to our customers, using advanced software platforms (OSS) for recording and processing all related tasks until closure. We stay in full communication with all parties involved leading up to resolution and confirming remediation with customers.
